IGNITING DARKNESS VIRTUAL TOUR DETAILS!

IMG_8435

Okay guys, here it is–the Igniting Darkness virtual book tour details!

Aside from getting a chance to talk with some of my favorite people, one of the reasons I’m so excited about these events is we’ve decided to treat each one like a panel with different topics for discussion.

At Mysterious Galaxy (via Crowdcast) Mary Pearson, Stephanie Garber, and I will talk about: To Love and Die in YA, discussing the hugely popular themes of love and death in books for teens and why they resonate.  Link: https://www.mystgalaxy.com/event/robin-lafevers-virtual-launch-event

Then at Third Place Books (also via Crowdcast) the amazing Leigh Bardugo and I will be chatting about the craft of writing! One of my favorite subjects in the world with one of my favorite people in the world. Win – Win! Next, Wellesley Books (via Zoom) will be hosting Julie Dao and I as we talk about Mean Girls, Queen Bees, and Savvy B!!ches: exploring the concept of the unlikable heroine. Because let’s face it, we desperately need to broaden our concept of heroines.

Then lastly we will wrap up the tour at Politics and Prose (also via Zoon) with the incredible Sabaa Tahir! She and I will discussing the joys and sorrows (and yes, the pain, but whether ours or the readers is for you to find out) of wrapping up a long running series. I can’t wait to talk with all these fabulous authors and hope that you are as excited as I am! Feeling very lucky and blessed to have such amazing author friends! ❤️

2018 EVENTS

YALLFEST

I’m so excited to be participating in YALLFEST this year! It happens on Friday and Saturday, November 9th and 10th. Some events are ticketed, so plan accordingly. Although I don’t think any of mine are. There will be so many amazing authors there–many whom I’ve never had a chance to meet yet. I will try to play it cool, but, yeah. Not really a hill person.) You can find my schedule HERE: (Waffles! A Really Frank Discussion of Death and Murder! Bookish Madlibs)

The HMH Teen Fall Fantasy Tour

I will be going on a short book tour to celebrate the publication of the new paperbacks. It won’t just be me–there will be three other amazing Houghton Mifflin Harcourt authors on tour as well, including the incredibly talented Megan Shepard, Rebecca Schaeffer, and Emiko Jean.

We’ll be at Square Books in Oxford, Mississipi on Monday November 12, Parnassus Books in Nashville on Tuesday, November 12, and the final stop will be at Book People in Austin on Wednesday, November 13! I’ll post the times and more details when I have them. And be sure to check back to learn about some exclusive tour swag I’ll be giving away!

NEW 2017 EVENT!

I’m so excited to be participating the Pasadena Teen Book Festival! It takes place on Saturday, Sept 16, 2017 from 11am – 4pm.
I’m not exactly sure what time my panel will be, but I expect it will be at the earlier end of the range. I’ll update when I have the exact time.
Where: Pasadena Public Library, 285 East Walnut Street Pasadena, CA 91101
Cost: Free! No tickets are necessary.

MORE HIS FAIR ASSASSIN BOOKS!

Have you heard the news? There will be two more His Fair Assassin books! I’m so excited to share these new stories with you!

And…AND…(I hope this will make you as happy as it makes me) they feature Sybella and Beast! Here’s the official PW Announcement.

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to revisit those two and continue their adventures. After all, Sybella’s own precarious circumstances were rather quickly swept aside as the country’s political drama unfolded.

But that doesn’t mean her problems went away. Far from it. She still has sisters to protect and a brother who is half mad with vengeance on his mind.

Even though the Duchess of Brittany has managed to wrest victory from the jaws of defeat, the road ahead will not be an easy one. Becoming queen of France might have saved her country from the devastation of war, but Anne herself will now be residing in the French court—a place that has been hostile to her ever since she was born. And really, how eager is the French regent going to be about welcoming Anne of Brittany into the bosom of the family?

And I’m very, very excited and intrigued by this new assassin that’s appeared. Actually, those are some of my favorite types of character’s to write—the one’s my subconscious plants on the page as I’m writing, with me not even realizing the significance of that character until later. I’d known since writing Grave Mercy that the convent had planted young novitiates in noble French families to call upon when needed, but it wasn’t until Mortal Heart, when Annith asked specifically about Genevieve, that my mind began whirring with possibilities.
